1963 Greeves factory 250 Road Racer.
Fully restored 20 plus years ago and it has never been started. It's beautiful. It would make a great addition to anyones collection or your ready to go vintage racing. The production racing machine was first marketed by Greeves in March 1963 and had a very good season finishing with 4 out of the first 6 at Cadwell Park (England) in September. The production bike used a modified 24MDS frame, narrowed at the rear, and was powered by a Villiers 36A engine fitted with Greeves' own cylinder barrel and head. An Amal GP carburetor and expansion chamber exhaust were standard equipment and the motor produced 31bhp at 7,400rpm. Built through versions RAS to RDS until 1966, the Silverstone provided many an aspiring star with their first taste of road racing, and today remains a popular mount in Classic racing's 250 class. Total production for 1963 was 94 with a total of 304. This Greeves is registered in the Greeves registry in England. Check out the photos and video.
